These racks are very useful to carry a cooler, but have many other uses as well. We personally put a bin or crate in the carrier, and use it for hauling potatoes or tools on our homestead work wagon. It can also be a good place to put the beach toys (so they don't put water and sand on your wagon bed), or a place for a diaper bag or other gear.
